Sunday night in Las Vegas there was the annual Route 91 Harvest. This is a extremely popular country concert that host big names in country music. There are several food and craft vendors along with media outlets and hotels that also attend the huge festival with its 22,000 guests. It’s sad to say what started out to be a great night full of music legends turned into a mass shooting. A gunman holed up in a hotel room high above the Las Vegas Strip fired down upon the festival crowd. This brutal attack has reported 58 deaths so far making it one of the highest death toll shooting on American soil. In the mass shooting there were some 515 people that were reported injured. Everyone here at The Courtney at Universal is wishing everyone and loved ones effected by this heinous crime the love and support needed to heal.

In Disney Springs, formally known as Downtown Disney, The Edison is expected to have a steampunk inspired theme, that brings a restaurant, venue space and club. This will be the first space on Disney Springs property that provides the club atmosphere. “The rumors are that this includes a performance venue next door, an adults only space in the tunnels below (we’ve heard it will be called “Neverland Tunnels”), and an, as yet, unannounced fourth theme. According to the origin story of Disney Springs, these spaces represent a former electrical power plant, a former airline terminal, and an underground rum running tunnel.” This wonderful attraction is set to open late Fall of this year! Disney Springs host several fun and exciting shops, restaurants and more just 10 minutes from The Courtney at Universal.

Here at The Courtney at Universal, we have gathered supplies for hurricane relief by receiving helping hands from several of our residents. We can continue helping by adopting cats and dogs that have been sent to local shelters throughout Florida. With the influx of animals being sent to these shelters, they are unable to continue to accept these animals in need until room is made available. As we adopt and find amazing home for the current animals it makes room for more to be saved! Listed below are a few local shelters that are running tons of deals and specials to prompt adoptions!
